Homemade Pizza

So.. as much as I love pizza being delivered.. I hate the price I pay more plus.. I have to always ask a bunch of questions regarding what is Zabihah.  This is also a great recipe for the whole family to get in on making.. kids love Pizza.

So the solution?  Make my OWN pizza at home.

The pizza dough is quick and easy to make – 15 minutes to make and if you want to you can let it double and then use it or just make it and go.

Dough Recipe- Makes one small pizza – Feel free to double for a medium or large.

3 cups of flour

1 pack of yeast

1 tea-spoon salt

1 tea spoon of oil

1 tablespoon sugar

1 cup of warm water

*Preheat Oven to 350*

1. Mix the water, sugar and yeast together till the yeast and sugar are dissolved. 2. Mix the salt into the flour. 3. Add the oil to the yeast mixture.  4. Create a bowl in the middle of the bowl of flour and pour the yeast mixture into the center and knead together till you have a smooth ball of dough.

5. *optional* leave in the bowl, cover with a towel and place somewhere warm to allow it to rise and double.  6. Grease/oil a cook sheet with raised edges and then roll out the dough place it in the cookie sheet.*Dough Tip* The thinner you roll out the dough, the crispier the crust will be.  7. Cover with sauce and your toppings.  8. Place in the oven at 350 for 20 -25 minutes till done.

Toppings-

Anything you can imagine.. can be a topping.. I just keep it traditional and simple.  Mozzarella cheese.

Sauce –

You can try and make a pizza sauce or you can simply used a canned spagetti sauce like I do.. any one of your choosing.. you can spice things up a bit by choosing a flavored one like 3 cheese or basil tomato etc.
